The gist: Let’s make a rug, on budget and on time. We work with vetted suppliers in India and can help bring just about any rug to life.

Materials: 100% New Zealand Wool, Indian Wool, Cotton, Jute, Hemp, Tencel, Post-Consumer Recycled Polyster.
Techniques: Hand-tufted, Hand-loom, Flat-woven, Hand-woven.
Dimensions: No size restrictions.
Colors: Choose from our pom box of 1400 colors or send a color to match.

Work with the Rug Dept. design team to design a fully custom rug.
Provide a sample for us to match - we're happy to match standard rug-making techniques and materials in any size or shape.

Timeline:

Design: 2-12 weeks depending on quantity and complexity.
Production: 6-14 weeks depending on technique, complexity, and quantity.
Transit: 2-4 weeks by air.

We partner with Nomadory to make handmade custom rugs in India. We work closely and collaboratively with founders Akta Adani and Vrnda Dalal. Nomadory is a minority, women-owned, small business based in Mill Valley, California. Not only does Nomadory connect Rug Dept. with vetted suppliers and artisans in India to make high quality rugs, they also handle all logistics, making importing rugs from India a breeze.
